Workshop Facilities

Full-service specialist workshop at 18/62 Argyle St, South Windsor NSW. Multiple hoists, specialist diagnostics, dedicated Land Rover mechanics.

The Davis Performance Landys workshop in South Windsor is purpose-built for Land Rover specialist work. Unlike a general mechanical workshop fitted with a single hoist, our facility is configured specifically for the range of work Land Rovers require — from routine servicing to engine rebuilds, ECU remapping, and fabrication. The investment in proper equipment reflects 30 years of commitment to doing this work correctly.

Workshop Capability

We operate multiple vehicle bays with full hoist access, allowing us to handle several vehicles simultaneously without compromising the time or attention given to each job. A dedicated diagnostic bay houses our Land Rover-specific diagnostic equipment, enabling accurate fault finding on all models from the early Defender through to current Range Rover and Discovery Sport platforms.

Our machine shop capability supports in-house work that many workshops send out — including cylinder head work, component refurbishment, and precision fitting. This keeps turnaround times shorter and quality control entirely within our hands.

Dyno Testing

We have on-site dynamometer testing available, used primarily for before-and-after power measurement on ECU remaps. The dyno gives customers concrete data on the results of a remap rather than a subjective assessment, and allows us to fine-tune under load for the best outcome. Air conditioning is tested and recharged using dedicated equipment suited to Land Rover systems across all generations.

Yes. We have on-site dynamometer testing that we use for before-and-after power measurement on ECU remaps, as well as general engine diagnostics where load-based testing is useful. The dyno allows us to quantify the results of a remap and fine-tune under realistic operating conditions.

Yes. Our workshop includes machine shop capability for in-house precision work, multiple hoists, and a dedicated diagnostic bay. We carry out engine rebuilds, gearbox work, cylinder head repairs, and major mechanical overhauls across the full Land Rover range including Defender, Discovery, Range Rover Classic, and modern models.

We work across all generations — from early Series vehicles and Defenders through to current Discovery Sport, Range Rover Sport, and full-size Range Rover models. Our diagnostic equipment covers the full model range. Our strongest historical expertise is in Defender, Discovery 1 and 2, and Range Rover Classic, which form a large part of the vehicles we see from the Hawkesbury and Western Sydney areas.

Yes. We test and recharge air conditioning systems across all Land Rover models. This includes both older R134a systems fitted to Defender, Discovery 1 and 2, and Range Rover Classic, and the newer refrigerant systems on modern vehicles. A/C work is often combined with a scheduled service or pre-summer inspection.

For major work — engine rebuilds, gearbox replacement, full suspension overhauls — we recommend contacting us two to four weeks in advance to secure a workshop slot and allow time to source any parts that need to be ordered. Routine services and smaller jobs can often be scheduled within one to two weeks. Call us on (02) 9679 1978 or email info@davisperformance.com to discuss timing.
